A Need Above Your Own

And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And [Jesus] called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box.”  Mark 12:32-43

We can learn from this humble attitude of the homeless man in this video.  He was given a gift and unselfishly, though he may have needed this gift, he gave away part to someone else he saw in need.  He put the needs of another above his own.  Though he didn’t know where his next meal was coming from, he chose to give a portion of it away.

How much are you willing to give away of your time, your talents, your belongings, your finances?  Is there someone in your life who may need something that you can give them?
