How do you feel that your experience at Breakthrough has equipped you to go out and be the hands and feet of Jesus?

Breakthrough teams up with its volunteers so well. They make you feel welcome while also empowering you to serve those that come to Breakthrough. Even my young and shy dance students jumped right in and started talking to people that came to Breakthrough and the smiles on their faces were precious. Breakthrough shows us that the mission field is right in our backyard. It also shows us that telling people about Jesus is as easy as sitting down for a meal with them.

Has your experience with Breakthrough Ministries inspired you to do ministry differently? If yes, please tell us how you did ministry before your Breakthrough experience and how it is different now. 

Breakthrough encouraged me to prioritize volunteering for various events at our church. Most of my dance students attend church and Breakthrough encourages them to do volunteer work. It gives them a perspective where they see great value in volunteering for different ministry opportunities. For me and the dance studio, we would occasionally do community-based performances to spread God’s love in that way. Breakthrough reminds me to make that a priority and how impactful it can be to connect with and serve the community around us.

What would you say to them if you could share one thing with someone who has never experienced Breakthrough Ministries or might be on the fence about volunteering with us? 

Do it! Breakthrough is such a wonderful way to spread God’s love to those that deserve to feel it. Also, at the same time, it is such a great way for us to get out of our comfort zone and see how God has gifted us to serve other people. We are called to help the sick, the hungry, and the hurting. Breakthrough Ministries makes it possible for us to be obedient to that.
